Welcome to real Finnovation in diving!

The time has arrived for REAL INNOVATION in the dive equipment industry. An expression of human undersea propulsion delivered with efficiencies evolved from millions of years of evolutionary design improvement. Divers now have real hope to experience underwater travel comparable to dolphins, those other great mammals of the sea.

Inventor Bill Hopper has patents covering the innovative and unique characteristics of his invention. We know that dolphins create a "vortices trail" causing a "jet" or cut in drag at the end of each kick cycle. We are developing this technology into REAL PRODUCTS for various commercial applications.

From early tests we also know that FreedomFins absorb body drag further enhancing swim speed.

The result is greater kick-cycle efficiency using a shallower kick stroke, which reduces the physical energy required per unit of distance by the diver. FreedomFins attach to the lower leg thereby leaving the ankles and feet free for walking on land or in a boat upon entering or leaving the water. The leg attachment also reduces muscle strain and fatigue of the ankle and foot. The inherent design better suits the human anatomy by utilizing the strongest limbs and eliminating reliance on the weaker ones.

Technological breakthrough...

Patented technology for FreedomFins revolutionizes hydrodynamic properties for human swim fins. Once known only to dolphins and fish, the use of vortices propulsion provides the following breakthrough advantages over conventional swim fins...

• Unparalleled thrust under water by humans; all propulsion generated exclusively from the legs.

• Eliminates strained ankles and worn-out feet, which were never suited for swim loading by conventional fins on the feet.

• A normal flutter or scissor kick transforms the water into intense vortices production; almost identical to the natural kick stroke of dolphins.

• Increases divers' swim endurance and efficiency; the systematic production of thrust vortices actually absorb body DRAG.

• The thrust fin is attached to the lower leg; not the feet and ankles. This attachment location produces considerably more force than conventional fins because the ankles and wrists are the weakest joints in the body.

• With a flick of the release snap, the fins fold, facilitating seamless transition from shore or boat to water. FreedomFins are boat ladder friendly and enable good walking mobility.
